Denise DeNeve, age 66, passed away suddenly on Tuesday December 14, 2021.

 

Denise was born March 27, 1955 in Calgary, Alberta and was predeceased by her parents Maurice and Anna De Neve.

 

Denise is survived by her brother Clarence De Neve, sister Rita Poluck (Randy Poluck), sister Anita Cockerill and brother Cyriel (Colleen) De Neve. Denise is also survived by her nieces Diana Schaber (Che De Tremaudan), Amanda Poluck (Mickey Hays), Kathy Yourth (Kurt Schappert) and by nephews Phillip (Fatima) Schaber, Ayden De Neve and Nikolas De Neve as well as several great nieces and nephews and relatives in Belgium. 

 

Denise was the youngest of 4 siblings until the age of 15 when her younger brother arrived. Denise grew up in Calgary and worked at the family Motel.  Denise earned her degree in teaching and taught several years in Toronto before returning to Calgary to earn her Masters Degree in Theology. Denise went on to become the Director of Religious Education for the Calgary Catholic School Board. When she retired she began a new career as the Director of the FCJ Retreat and Conference Centre.  

 

Denise will be lovingly remembered not only by her family but by numerous friends, colleagues and associates. 

 

Denise, your loving kindness will forever live in our hearts.

Denise’s Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at St. Mary’s Cathedral, 219 18 Ave SW, Calgary, AB T2S 0C2. Due to current COVID restrictions, the event will also be live streamed.
